About Me
Dr Abbie Muchecheti
I’m Dr Abbie Muchecheti, a passionate advocate for equality, inclusion, and social justice. With a PhD from the Business School at Oxford Brookes University, I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and real-world experience to the topics I care about most: race equality, gender equality, mental health, intersectionality, and disability advocacy.
My Journey
My blog began in 2012 as a platform to share my thoughts and experiences on issues close to my heart. Over the years, it has evolved into a space where I explore the intersections of identity, privilege, and systemic inequality. My academic journey—culminating in a PhD—has deepened my understanding of these issues and strengthened my commitment to creating a more inclusive world.
What I Stand For Race Equality: I am dedicated to fighting racism and promoting racial justice. I believe in amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and addressing the systemic barriers they face.
Gender Equality: I advocate for the dismantling of patriarchal systems and the empowerment of women and marginalized genders.
Mental Health: I’m passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health and promoting accessible, compassionate care.
Intersectionality: I recognize that our identities are complex and interconnected, and I strive to address the unique challenges faced by individuals at the intersections of race, gender, disability, and more.
Disability Advocacy: As someone who understands the challenges of living with a disability, I’m dedicated to raising awareness and fighting for accessibility and inclusion.
